To be a universalist human being is to define oneself first and foremost by what connects human beings rather than by what separates them. Nourished by family, travel, sport — team sport in particular — and the arts in all their forms, the universalist looks upon the world with an open mind: a citizen of the world, responsible towards others, placing culture, art and solidarity at the service of what is common to all.
