The Foundation attaches great importance to protecting your privacy and processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian law.

This policy explains what personal data the Foundation collects via this website, for what purposes, on what legal bases, with whom it may be shared, how long it is kept and what your rights are.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

  • Contact form: your name, your email address, the type of request and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe.
  • Technical data: when browsing the website, the host may record connection data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamp) for security and proper-functioning purposes.

We do not collect any sensitive data and only ask for the information necessary to process your request.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to your requests sent via the contact form — legal bases: your consent and/or the Foundation's legitimate interest in processing your request (art. 6.1 a) and f) GDPR).
  • Sending you the newsletter you subscribed to — legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1 a) GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Ensuring the security and proper functioning of the website — legal basis: the Foundation's legitimate interest (art. 6.1 f) GDPR).
  • Complying with our legal obligations where applicable — legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1 c) GDPR).

4. Recipients of the data

Your data is intended for the Foundation and the persons authorised to handle your request. It may be processed by our technical service providers (host and, where applicable, email or newsletter-sending service) acting as processors, solely for the purposes described above. Your data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. Contact form and messaging

Depending on the configuration chosen, the contact form may open your email client to send your message directly to the Foundation, or forward it via a form provider. In both cases, the information you provide is used only to process your request.

6. Cookies

This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly audience-measurement tool, hosted on the M. Corporation group's own infrastructure in Europe. Plausible sets no cookies and collects no personal data: statistics are fully aggregated and anonymous, with no cross-site tracking or visitor profiling. No prior consent is therefore required for this analytics. No other tracking cookies are used; only strictly necessary cookies may, where applicable, be placed.

7. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described: contact requests are kept for the duration of their processing and, where applicable, of the resulting relationship; newsletter subscription addresses are kept until you unsubscribe; technical logs are kept for a limited period by the host.

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Your data is in principle processed within the European Union. If a provider were to process data outside the EU, this transfer would be governed by appropriate safeguards in accordance with the GDPR (for example the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

9. Security

The Foundation implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration.

10. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, as well as the right to data portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact the Foundation at the address indicated above.
